Santa moves pretty fast for an old guy, doesn't he? My friend posted this on our website and I've had the best time with it. It really is good to have fun.

Yeah, Santa was asking for it. Well, I got 1650 anyway :D

The second time I played, I got to the third level. I haven't done as well since so Santa must be speeding up. I hope this won't affect what we get under the tree.

Fun game! I didn't do so well at first, but then I found you could hit the same person more than once, so I began a rapid fire game and made it to 2825. But then I found I was hitting Santa too much on accident, and also running out of snowballs too quickly on level 3! I can't believe I'm so excited about a silly game! Somebody stop me! I have to tell my kids!

Oh no! What did I start!

Joel, you're hilarious. Just like a guy to plan a strategy. I'm glad you're enjoying it. I've had a lot of fun with it too. Once your kids start playing, you might have to share computer time with them.

I did it!! I scored 3000 and got Buddy Elf's certificate.

Joel B. said...

Well all right then! You're on with that challenge! LOL

And I almost made it, but not quite. :( 2975. I hit too many Ed Asner's and not enough Bob Newhart's!

Okay, Joel. I haven't been able to repeat my expert performance but I'm not giving up yet. Now I know it's possible so I shall press on.

I must really be out of things. I didn't realize I was supposed to recognize the elves until you revealed their identity. Who are the other two elves?

Joel B. said...

The big elf is Will Ferrell. He's the main character in Elf (the movie). I'm not sure about the others, but I'm sure they're in the movie. At elfmovie.com, if you hover your mouse over "all about Buddy" at the bottom, you can see some of the cast members.

I'm off to try and break 3000!

Joel B. said...

Whew... I did it! LOL. Yesterday I kept running out of snowballs before reaching 3000, but today I figured out that I was hitting too many Buddy's (less points per hit), so I focused on the two 50 point elves.

I feel like a kid again... hehehe!

Joel, thanks for the info on Elf. I didn’t even realize it was a movie. See, I’m constantly learning new and valuable information from you.

Congratulations on your victory. I haven’t been able to repeat my 3000 game again but I’ll keep trying.

This is fun, isn’t it? It’s good to play and have fun.

Joel!!! I did it again!

I hadn't been paying attention to the points on the different elves. I'd mostly been hitting the big green guy but after reading your comment, I decided to pay more attention to the others. They're smaller and harder targets to hit but I did rack up the points quicker.

Thanks for sharing your strategy. My arm is tired from tossing all of those snowballs so I think I'll rest for now.

The main reason I knew it was a movie is because the kids have watched it several times. :)

Yeah, it took me a while to figure out why I kept losing before I hit 3000, and yet hadn't hit Santa 3 times. I finally figured out that I was running out of snowballs, and so I thought about how I could use less snowballs and score more points. I then realized two of the elves were worth 50 points, so I began focusing on them and that seemed to be the key for me.

Anyway... it seems silly to be going on about this, but it's been fun to play it and have a few laughs with the kids as well!

I hope all you guys have good virus, back door, trojan protection. Some years back something very like this game was responsible for spreading malware.

Aida said...

Good excuse, Joel.

I think we need to learn how to play and have fun. Life seems to try to rob us of our joy but I don't believe Father intends for us to be serious all of the time.

I'm glad you're feeling better now. It seems a bit early to have the flu but this year has been crazy as far as sickness goes. I hope now that that's over you'll stay healthy for the rest of the winter.

Hi Adam,

My husband worked with computers before he retired. He was responsible for maintaining the computers for a major company so he does all of the techie work on mine.

Also, my son does the same thing as his dad for the University of South Carolina and he built my computer.

Anyway, with both of these computer geniuses in my family, I feel pretty safe but you're right. We do need to be cautious. Thanks for the warning.

Joel B. said...

Adam, that's a good point... always be on the lookout for that stuff, or have your computer be on the lookout, as you say, with great protection software. Since this game is on the official website of the Elf movie, I'm pretty confident that it's safe, but you never know for sure.

Aida, this flu thing has really been going around here. One of the doctor offices that I go to had 8 nurses get sick, one by one in very quick succession, around the same time that I got sick. One of the doctors there told me yesterday that his whole family was sick, except for him. I'm just glad to be over it!

I think my boss is about to fire me! I am ducking down here and playing this on my work PC... :)
Aida, you are putting me in trouble!

Aida said...

Bino, I'm a bad influence! Just tell your boss that you're doing a statistical study. Maybe he'll believe you.

This game does bring out the child in you, doesn't it? Have you gotten 3000 points yet?

Aida said...

Joel, I hope the flu epidemic over there is over. My daughter and her family including the baby have had to deal with a stomach virus this week but so far the rest of us seem to be doing okay. I haven't heard about anything going on over here. Maybe it'll pass us by. Well, I can wish, can't I?

I'm just glad you're feeling better. Do you think playing this game had anything to do with your quick recovery? LOL
